Brascan acquires two US hydro plants for 31.4 million

TORONTO, ONTARIO - Brascan Power, a unit of Toronto-based Brascan Corp. announced it had acquired two hydroelectric plants from U.S.-based Delta Power Co. for $31.4 million in cash and debt.

Brascan said the two facilities - Hydro-Kennebec in Winslow, Maine, and West Delaware in Grahamsville, New York - totaled 23 megawatts of generating capacity.
