Dong, Siemens sign wind-supply contract
Under the terms of the agreement, 500 wind turbines will be delivered to Dong Energy's offshore wind farm in northern Europe. The turbines will be capable of generating a total of 1,800 megawatts.
"Siemens and Dong Energy have a history of successful cooperation in relation to construction and operation of offshore wind projects," said Anders Eldrup, chief executive of Dong Energy.
The wind turbines delivered by Siemens will each have a 3.6-megawatt capacity. It is the largest agreement the company has signed yet, said Rene Umlauft, chief executive of the Renewable Energy Division of Siemens Energy.

SaskPower to buy more electricity from Manitoba Hydro
REGINA - Saskatchewan's Crown-owned electric utility has made an agreement to buy more hydroelectricty from Manitoba.
A term sheet providing for a new long--term power sale has been signed between Manitoba Hydro and SaskPower which will see up to 215 megawatts flow from Manitoba to Saskatchewan beginning in 2022.
