Integrated coal, power project for Shanxi province
In 2005, China Huadian signed a letter of intent with Qinyuan's government to build the integrated coal and power project in the county, and established a preparation office.
According to the agreement, two 1,000-megawatt air-cooled ultra-supercritical coal-fired units will be built in Phase I, along with an associated coal mine.
Preparations are progressing smoothly, said Li Qingkui, Vice President of China Huadian. The project will conform to the nation's energy development policy as well as the development strategy of Shanxi province, he said.
China Huadian also signed a long-term agreement with the Shanxi Jincheng Anthracite Mining Group for coal procurement.
