Bell data centre will be “off grid”
OTTAWA, ONTARIO - Bell plans to build a data centre in Ottawa, an 82,000-square-foot facility that will contain computer servers and allow customers to take advantage of new services such as cloud computing.
The centre will employ 10. Bell, which would not estimate the cost of the project, said the building will be powered by "green" electricity and will not be tied in to the main power network in Ottawa.
It will be the fifth such Bell facility in Canada.
