Electrium offers March break activities
At the Electrium, young people and their families "get a charge" out of learning all about electricity: its role in the human body, the origin of lightning, the secrets of the electric eel and how the earth's magnetic field works. And now, for the March break, the Electrium is adding on even more exciting activities:
- A new movie, Follow the Line, shows how electricity gets from the power station to your home. Visitors could win a prize by taking part in a quiz based on the film.
- Children 5 to 7 years old will enjoy a screening of Science, Please! funny animated shorts on science-related topics produced by the National Film Board.
- For young people 5 to 14 years old, there's an art contest. Gift sets will be awarded for the three most creative drawings.
- And for younger children, there's a makeup workshop between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., from Monday, March 3 to Friday, March 7.

Quebec authorizes nearly 1,000 megawatts of electricity for 11 industrial projects
MONTREAL - The Quebec government has unveiled the list of 11 companies whose projects were given the go-ahead for large-scale power connections of 5 megawatts or more, for a total of 956 MW.
Five of the selected projects relate to the battery sector, and two to the bioenergy sector.
TES Canada's plan to build a green hydrogen production plant in Shawinigan, announced on Friday, is on the list.
Hydro-Québec will also supply 5 MW or more to the future Northvolt plant at its facilities in Saint-Basile-le-Grand and McMasterville.
