PG&E to purchase power from Oregon wind farm
The Rattlesnake Road Wind Power Project in Gilliam County, Ore., is currently under construction and is expected to begin operation in the first quarter of 2009. With this agreement, PG&E now has more than 1,213 MW of renewable wind energy under contract or delivered.
"Clean wind power is an integral part of our diverse renewable energy portfolio, which includes hydroelectric, geothermal, solar, wave and biomass resources," says Fong Wan, vice president of energy procurement for PG&E.

TORONTO - To support Ontarians through the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation, the Government of Ontario is providing immediate electricity rate relief for families, small businesses and farms paying time-of-use (TOU) rates.
For a 45-day period, the government is working to suspend time-of-use electricity rates, holding electricity prices to the off-peak rate of 10.1 cents-per-kilowatt-hour. This reduced price will be available 24 hours per day, seven days a week to all time-of-use customers, who make up the majority of electricity consumers in the province.
