Square D/Schneider Electric ratifies new 3-year labor deal

Square D/Schneider Electric announced that all nine bargaining units located at seven of its manufacturing facilities in the United States have ratified a new three-year labor contract.

The contract was ratified in local union votes taken over the past few days.

Negotiations for the contract involved three international unions: the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM&AW), the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT).

MADRID - A consortium formed by Spanish groups Abengoa and Acciona has signed a contract to complete the construction of the 110MW Cerro Dominador concentrated solar power (CSP) plant in Chile.
