Injured substation worker recovering

TAMPA BAY, FLORIDA - A Tampa Electric Co. employee shocked by equipment this morning is now in stable condition.

The employee was injured when he made contact with a piece of electric equipment used in upgrading the MacDill substation, said Rick Morera, Tampa Electric spokesman.

Morera said upgrades are regular procedures and similar incidents do not happen often. He declined to release the employee's name or other details of what happened.
