Beijing plans to invest 23 billion yuan in erecting two transmission lines this year.

The two 500,000 kV lines are: one from Tocto Power Plant in Inner Mongolia to Anding Power Plant in Beijing through Hunyuan County in Shanxi and the other, from Shentou No. 2 Power Plant in Shanxi to Fangshan Power Plant in Beijing through Baoding in Hebei. Meanwhile, renovation of the Fengzhen-Wanquan-Shunyi transmission line will start this year. The three projects are scheduled for completion by 2006.
