Visit the Electrium during March break

MONTREAL, QUEBEC - The Electrium, Hydro-Québec's electricity interpretation centre, has a special lineup of activities planned for the March break.

On activity is to build an electricity distribution network with Envirovolt.

From March 2 to 6 in addition to the usual guided tours, check out the Electrium's newest game: Envirovolt. Designed for children between 9 and 14 years of age, Envirovolt is both fun and educational. With the help of an activity leader, players build an electricity distribution network while following sustainable development principles of environmental conservation, social progress and cost-effectiveness.

The Envirovolt workshops last about two hours and run from Monday to Friday, starting at 10 a.m.

All day long, children and their families will discover electricity's many aspects: its role in the human body, how electricity gets from the power station to your home, the origin of lightning, the secrets of electric eels, how the earth's magnetic field works and much more.

Younger children can enjoy a face-painting workshop, offered every day from noon to 4 p.m.

Quizzes, draws and attendance prizes are also on the menu. All activities are free.

Electrium opening hours during March break:

Monday, March 2, to Friday, March 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sunday, March 8, from 1 to 4 p.m.

The Electrium is located in Sainte-Julie, Exit 128 off Highway 30, in the Montérégie region.
