Expos on boosting energy efficiency

Tenaga 2006, the international electrical engineering and installation show, and Revac 2006, the international refrigeration, ventilation and air-conditioning show, will focus on technologies and solutions for improving energy efficiency.

In a statement recently, AMB Exhibitions Sdn Bhd organising chairman Datuk Annas Mohd Nor said he expects participants of both expositions to generate over RM25 million in sales during the period, a 42 per cent increase from last year.

The two expositions will showcase over 300 international companies from 27 countries including pavilions from Malaysia, China, India, Taiwan, Singapore and South Korea.

The four-day event will include two technology symposiums and the Energy Efficiency Dialogue.

The European Union (EU) will sponsor an Energy Efficiency Business Meeting attended by 20 EU companies specialising in energy efficency.

"Malaysia is fast becoming a hub for the electrical sector as seen by the 15 per cent increase in the number of exhibitors at the upcoming Tenaga exposition and forum. More importantly, 60 per cent of the exhibitors are international companies," Annas said.
