A Putnam County circuit judge sentenced Bobby Sparks of Grayson, Ky., to one to three years in prison but suspended all but 60 days of the term. Sparks will serve probation when he's released.
Sparks pleaded guilty on June 12 to a felony charge of making a terrorist threat.
State Police say Sparks left a threatening note in a bathroom at American Electric Power's John Amos plant last November, then reported it to authorities. He was working as a welder for a contractor at the time.
