Duke restoring power after storm

Robert Norris, a spokesperson for Duke Energy, formerly Cinergy, said workers had restored power the following day.

Several power outages occurred throughout the night, the largest of which left 1,677 without electricity between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m, Norris said. Another outage reported between 9:04 p.m. and 9:50 p.m. left 1,122 customers without service. More than 90 residents were without power from 6:50 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The outages were caused by lightning strikes, Norris added.
