Big Becky to break through Friday 13

The Niagara Tunnel Project will hit an important milestone May 13 when Big Becky, the world's largest hard rock tunnel boring machine "breaks through" to daylight after a 10.2 kilometre journey beneath Niagara Falls.

The tunnel mining is a major component of the project and tunnel-mining tradition calls for a celebration when the mining is completed.
