Speaking of the natural affinity between France and Québec in the technical and human spheres, André Caillé added, "I take this opportunity to pay tribute to my predecessors at the helm of Hydro- Québec, because I reap the benefits they have sown over many decades."
Pierre Gadonneix, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Electricité de France (EDF), presented the insignia on behalf of the President of the French Republic. As a Chevalier of the French Legion of Honour, André Caillé joins a very select group of Quebecers who have received this prestigious distinction.
