Indiana Michigan Power offers power outage text and email alerts

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Indiana Michigan Power, an operating unit of American Electric Power, is excited to announce that customers now have the option to be notified by text message or email when their home or business is affected by a power outage.

Customers enrolled in I&M ON THE GO – Mobile Alerts will receive a notification when an outage has been reported in their area and will continue to get immediate updates as I&M crews determine the outage cause and predict when power is expected to be restored.

Providing you with a more convenient method of receiving account information is just one way we are raising the bar to provide superior customer service,” said Paul Chodak III, I&M’s president and chief operating officer.

By visiting www.IndianaMichiganPower.com and logging into their account, customers can enroll in power outage alerts and modify their specific notification preferences.

KHNP is being considered for Bulgarian Nuclear Power Plant Project

SEOUL - Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) has been selected as one of the three strategic investor candidates for a Bulgarian nuclear power plant project.

The Bulgarian Energy Ministry selected KHNP of Korea, RosAtom of Russia and CNNC of China as strategic investor candidates for the construction of the Belene Nuclear Power Plant, KHNP said on Dec. 20.
