The Électrium invites families to guided tours, interactive exhibits, and film screenings on electricity, hydroelectric power, renewable energy, lightning, auroras, electric eels, and the Earth's magnetic field in Sainte-Julie, Montérégie.

Take advantage of the holidays to visit the Électrium, Hydro-Québec's electricity interpretation centre.
There will be face painting for kids, a quiz and door prizes to go along with the regular guided tour of the centre, highlighting family fun over the holidays for visitors.
During your visit, you'll discover electricity's many aspects, from the atom to hydroelectric generation. Our many models and interactive exhibits, including March break activities, will inform and entertain as you learn about electricity's role in the human body and its reflexes, the origin of lightning and the Northern lights, the secrets of electric eels and how the Earth's magnetic field works. You can even test the speed of your reflexes.
Film screenings are also on the program, including the history of electricity in Qu e9bec, renewable energy and hydroelectric developments, and initiatives like the Hydro-Qu e9bec EV initiative in the province. For our younger guests, entertaining animated films tell the story of electricity's awesome journey from the power station to your home.
The c9lectrium is located in Sainte-Julie, near Exit 128 off Highway 30, in the Mont e9r e9gie region, and is ideal for a March break visit with the family.
Opening hours for the holiday period are as follows:
• December 22, 23, 27, 28, 29 and 30, 2010 - from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• January 3 to 7, 2011 - from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
