ADB to facilitate export of electricity to Pakistan, Afghanistan
ADB is providing a multi-million U.S. dollar technical assistance grant for a study which will look into the feasibility and viability of the proposed project, said the APP report.
ADB's multi-country working group will deal with the financial and technical aspects of the proposed project, with the assistance of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Islamic Development Bank, and the World Bank, it said.

The Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC) will release its final decision this Thursday on new rules for integrating batteries, pumped hydro and other forms of storage.
The AEMC’s draft decision, released in July, angered many firms because it proposed charging storage providers for drawing power, ignoring a recommendation by the Australian Electricity Market Operator (AEMO) that they be exempt.
