Metso supplies power boiler for green power production
Start-up of the power plant is scheduled for the fall of 2010.The value of the order is over 60 million euros and it will be included in Metso Paper's Q3 orders received.
Metso Power will supply for the power plant a power boiler (124 MWth) which will utilize bubbling fluidized bed technology and will burn biomass, like bark and forest residues to produce electricity to the national grid and steam for the paper mill.
As a part of this delivery Metso will also supply the external fuel handling for the boiler, flue gas cleaning system and plant's automation and information management system.
The Facture plant investment is the largest project in France's national green energy program.
